Frozen Pipes

Here are some tips to prevent frozen water pipes during the upcoming temperature drops this winter.

  • If you have not already done this, remove and drain hoses used outdoors.
  • Keep garage doors closed if there are water lines in the garage.
  • Open bathroom and kitchen cabinet doors to allow air to circulate around the plumbing pipes. Be sure to remove any harmful cleaners or chemicals out of reach from children.
  • Let water drip at a minimum amount from the faucet served by exposed pipes. Even a trickle helps prevent pipes from freezing.
